| "Od leta 2007vsako leto pripravljam katalog oziroma gradivo za interno izobraževanje. Priprava gradiva zahteva prevod približno 3100 strani v HTML formatu. Ker vsako leto prevajam le dopolnitve in popravke, pri svojem delu uporabljam enega izmed programov za prevajanje tako, da moje delo poteka hitro in tekoče. Zadnji katalog pa ni bil več pripravljen v obliki HTML, ampak je bil del gradiva v obliki PDF. Program za prevajanje, ki ga uporabljam, sicer podpira tudi datoteke PDF, vendar je postopek prevajanja teh zelo zamuden. Vsebina posamezne datoteke PDF se namreč prenese v urejevalnik besedil Microsoft Word, kjer ga je potrebno prevesti in nato ponovno shraniti v obliki PDF. Ker sem moral prevesti 1302 datotek PDF, tovrsten način ni bil primeren. S pomočjo iskalnika Google sem našel program Multilizer PDF Translator. Po preizkušanju predstavitvene verzije navedenega programa, sem se odločil za nakup oziroma plačilo licence. Spletni nakup je potekal brez problemov in po približno pol ure sem lahko namestil program in pričel z delom. Ker je program enostaven za uporabo, je delo potekalo hitro in tekoče. Za privajanje na program, za prevod vseh 1302 datotek PDF in kasnejše urejanje kataloga, sem porabil dva dneva. Datoteke PDF sicer vsebujejo slikovno gradivo in podatke, ki so v večini ponavljajoči (tabele s podatki in komentarji), vendar so moji kolegi, ki gradivo prevajajo v druge jezike in pri tem uporabljajo drug program, za prevod vseh 1302 datotek PDF porabili 10 -14 dni. Na zaključnem koordinacijskem sestanku delovne skupine je bila izpostavljena težava prevajanja datotek PDF. Kolegom sem predstavil način in enostavnost prevajanja s programom Multilizer PDF Translator ter jim priporočil nakup in uporabo tega programa." |
"Every year since 2007 I prepare a catalog or material for internal training. Preparation of materials requires a translation of about 3100 pages in HTML format. Because each year I translate only additions and corrections, at my work I use one of the programs for the translation that my work is done quickly and fluent. But the latest catalog has not been more prepared in HTML format, but the part of the material was in PDF format. Translation program that I use, it supports the PDF file, but the process of translation is very retardatory. The contents of each PDF file is transferred to the word processor Microsoft Word, where it is necessary to translate and re-save as PDF. Because I have to translate 1302 PDF files, such a method was not convenient. Through Google I found a program Multilizer PDF Translator. After testing the demonstration version of that program, I decided to buy or license fee. Online purchasing has taken place without problems and after about half an hour I was able to install the program and started to work. Because the program is easy to use, the work proceeded rapidly and fluent. For getting used to the program, the translation of 1302 PDF files and later edition of the catalog, I spent two days. PDF files are containing images and data, which are mostly repeated (table with data and comments), but my colleagues who translate material into other languages and use another program, for the translation of the 1302 PDF files spent 10 - 14 days. At the final coordination meeting of the working group the problem of translation of PDF files has been exposed. I presented to my colleagues the method and simplicity of the translation with the program Multilizer PDF Translator and I also recommended them the purchase and use of this program." |
